Categories: NDCA Events

NDCA is exhibiting the works Bismarck artist William “Bill” Brien through April 2021 on the 18th, or observatory floor, of the Capitol Building. This excellent well-lit space provides great views, in addition to displaying historical photos of the Capitol building over the years. NDCA is also exhibiting photos taken by Troyd Geist, NDCA's State Folklorist, in the Governor’s staff offices on the ground floor through April 2021. NDCA celebrates, documents, and preserves folk arts and our state’s cultural heritage through fieldwork and the Folk and Traditional Arts Apprenticeship Program. These images are a sampling of such efforts related to fieldwork, apprenticeships, performances, and special projects, taken between 2009-2016. More information on the featured artists is available here.
