Individual Artists

The Artist Growth and Development grant supports two practicing individual artists with $5,000 for the creation of new artwork that will enhance or expand their artistic skills.

The Folk and Traditional Arts Apprenticeship Program honors and encourages the preservation of North Dakota's diverse living traditions by providing up to $4,500 for master traditional artists to pass on their skills and knowledge to an apprentices.

The ND Artist Training Cohort provides training online and on site for up to 80 ND artists, including a $1,500 stipend, travel, lodging, and per diem to increase skill levels for public art production.

Professional Development is a reimbursement grant program that provides up to $1,000 for North Dakota nonprofit arts organizations, educational institutions, individual artists, and arts educators to engage in arts-related learning activities.

Special Projects provides up to $1,500 to support art events in all disciplines and forms for North Dakota groups and individual artists.

The goal of the Indigenous Artist Growth & Development Fellowship is to assist Indigenous artists in progressing in their growth and development by providing guidance over an 18-month period to five Indigenous artists who live within the North Dakota borders.
